This programme will be tailored to your body and goals, using my knowledge about health, fitness and nutrition to make sure that you achieve them effectively. It has been proven that having the motivation of a personal trainer behind you, pushing you to go that little bit further, achieves better, quicker, longer lasting results.
Believe it or not, exercising incorrectly can often do more harm than good by causing strain or injury, or aggravating existing injuries. I will ensure that you use the correct techniques and exercises that will give you not only a great workout, but a great workout that is safe, effective and right for you!

Unlike many personal trainers, I provide my clients with a combination of exercise training, strength training and nutritional planning that will ensure no matter what your goals, you get a carefully planned and highly individualised programme that will help you to achieve them. You will benefit from my highly varied experience in personal training, my scientific knowledge of nutrition and my expertise in strength and conditioning.
Further to being a fully qualified personal trainer, I am also fully trained and certified as a massage therapist. This extensive knowledge of the human body, fitness and anatomy ensure that I can provide my clients with extensive knowledge and highly effective treatments and training. Sometimes, using massage is a better course of action to help see improvements, particularly if you have an injury and/or need remedial treatment or are still in your rehabilitation period.
Personal Training in Bideford, Barnstaple & North Devon
I work with clients across North Devon, providing mobile personal training and massage. As a mobile personal trainer, I do not have a base but instead will come to you to train at your local gym, in your home or even at your workplace. Based in Barnstaple, I regularly provide my personal training services to clients in Bideford, Torrington, Braunton, Westward Ho! and the surrounding areas, covering all of North Devon. My clients find my flexibility a real bonus – I will work around your working day to provide services when convenient, at a place of your choosing.
Matt often has limited availability for his personal training and massage services, but he is currently taking appointments Monday to Saturday and will always try and accommodate you.
After graduating from Southampton Solent University as a personal trainer and massage therapist (one of the top 5 courses in the country for health and fitness) I have worked in many areas of health and fitness which has given me a well-rounded knowledge and understanding in my area of specialism.
As a rugby player, gym addict and sports enthusiast, I have a passion for fitness – I love nothing more than passing my enthusiasm on to my clients to help them to achieve their best, and learn to love keeping fit, active, and healthy!
